Jump for Joy

With a background in the entertainment and care industry, a local businessmen has launched his new venture Jump4Joy Inflatables in a blaze of fun and colour.

It has been a whirlwind journey for aspiring Entrepreneur’, David Taylor.

Jump4Joy is a leisure business providing entertainment and party services. With a range of entertainment services including inflatable items (bouncy castles), face painting bubble machines, chocolate fountain and coming soon are sumo suits and bungee run.

David has an enthusiastic and energetic personality with a commitment to providing the fun for your event with a strong sense of friendly customer service.

Having always wanted to work for himselve David wasted no time in developing his business model once he had decided what he wanted to do.

From discussing his idea with Ann McShea in October 2009, Ann referred David to Paul Hastings, LEO Business Coach for support in progressing their new venture.

Networking inflates your business success

From an initial discussion, Paul introduced David to the Prince’s Trust for financial support. David attended a five day intensive Prince’s Trust Workshop. As well as benefitting from excellent business start up training, David found the platform to make good contacts and network with like minded young business people invaluable. David has also joined Shirebrook Business Forum.  “The more you network, the more people know you, when running a business you can’t just sit there and wait for the customers to come to you. I’d rather get out there and make it happen” said David.

At the end of the workshops, David was able to complete a comprehensive business plan along with financial forecasts and market research for their business.

The next stage was to present the business proposition to the Prince’s Trust Panel which is a little like the tv show Dragons Den, where they pitched their idea to a panel of 3 dragons.

The following day, David received a phone call confirming that he had been successful in securing significant financial backing from Prince’s Trust.

This has catapulted the business and are now looking to expand the range of inflatable’s including a quad track for kids.

Operating across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, Jump4Joy are available for private parties and their services can be hired for children’s parties, public events, schools, pubs, corporate events,  fete's, BBQ's, team building events, special occasions, fund raising events, wedding's, carnivals
and other events. All of the products are for indoor or outdoor venues.

Jump4Joy staff are CRB checked, insured and professionally trained face painters.
